One of the best spots for snorkeling in the Miami area is Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary in Bahia Honda State Park, where more than 5 square miles of coral reef adorn crystal-clear water and rock ledges up to 35 feet tall. The wreck of the H.M.S. Looe, which sank in 1744, remains on the ocean floor within the sanctuary's boundaries.
